Villa Santa Cruz, located on the beautiful island of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands is the crowned “Jewel of the Caribbean”.  Tucked away on the North Shore of the island, in the Salt River National Park and Ecological Preserve, Villa Santa Cruz is full of modern amenities but steeped in a rich and storied history.  This oceanfront hideaway is located on “Columbus Landing” beach, named for the place where Columbus anchored 17 ships on his second voyage in 1493.  Columbus, as the discoverer of this land, gave it it’s original name, “Santa Cruz” or Holy Cross.  This luxurious villa carries the name “Santa Cruz” in honor of the first visit and the original name of the Caribbean island of St. Croix.

Completed in 2009, the Villa was meticulously built with the highest decree of details and materials.  This 5,900 square foot, 4 bedroom/5 bathroom sanctuary is truly the ultimate island paradise, with all bells and whistles.  Exuding soft contemporary decor on a sandy beachfront, the villa has become the most sought after rental property by seasonal vacationers.  It is usually booked up a year in advance.

Upon entrance, the expansive living, dining and kitchen areas’ open floor plan becomes the hub of the action.  There is central air-conditioning in the living room, kitchen, dining and den/office, while split air-conditioning units are in all the bedroom suites and the gym. The living room is equipped with big screen TV and sound system.  The huge vaulted ceilings soar over the granite kitchen with stainless steel Chef’s appliances, plus a granite wet bar with seating to enjoy the sea views and crashing surf.  A second granite wet bar is also available by the living room for that party overflow.  The gallery right off the living area overlooks the pool, cabana and the beachside. Double doors lead to the expansive balcony over the 40′ lap pool and 220 feet of private sandy beach.  Maintenance becomes a breeze with the travertine floor tiling throughout, while the vinyl casement windows also make cleaning a snap.  Hurricane preparedness is quick and easy with the roll-down shutters on the front and rear balconies and oceanfront windows.  West Indian wooden shutters protect the side of the villa.

The bedroom en-suites are tastefully furnished with three king beds, one queen bed and one sleeper sofa in the den/office.  The villa is your island home with a contemporary flair making it an exceptionally comfortable haven for you and your guests.  It is the place where you can indulge in luxurious amenities while soaking up the tropical sun.  You will also find the fully equipped gym and the separate fully equipped spin room quite special.  There is no excuse not to get your workout done.  Unless of course several laps in the 40′ pool or a casual swim in the ocean is your preference.  Or maybe cuddling with a book and snoozing away in the hammock by the beach is your idea of fun.  Either way, a nice cool drink while barbecuing at the “1493 Bar and Grill” by the poolside is the perfect segue to your next Caribbean adventure.
