Island Views Villa and its top of the line features was designed and built by the owners in conjunction with notable Caribbean Architect Bill Adams, known for his innovative design.  The home was designed to take every advantage of this spectacular “shoreline point”.  Island Views Villa overlooks Chenay Bay and Green Cay Marina and island.  In the distance you can see St. Thomas, St. John, Tortola and Jost Van Dyke.  At night, the twinkling lights of Christiansted and all the north coast and mountain homes light up the sky for miles.

The well appointed living room is your perfect venue for entertaining with sapele cabinets and book shelves, as well as gorgeous solid sapele ceiling and ceiling beams.  The ceilings are between 10 and 15 feet high with 2 ceiling fans to keep you cool. The dining room connects to the kitchen and island peninsula with sapele cabinets and granite countertops. The kitchen boasts of top of the line kitchen appliances. The walls of the kitchen are filled with large louvered casement windows that fully open, also giving you the feeling of the outdoors and all the views.  Ceilings are 15 feet high with stately sapele ceilings.  There is also a large laundry room with custom built shelvings.

Off the living room, you step out to the patio and pool area where you find the infinity pool and extremely comfortable lounge chairs around the pool area.  The pool is fully computerized to turn on the infinity edge or the waterfall with the push of a button.  From the pool deck you walk into a great room filled with gym equipment and weights and weight bench. The gym equipment includes a treadmill and elipto trainer.  Giant louvered casement windows open up to eliminate most of the wall and provide you with an unbelievable vista.  The gym also has a flat screen television if you want to catch the news while working out.

From the patio and pool area, you overlook the beaches of the national park and Chenay Bay Hotel with all of its beach and water activities.  As you sit back and relax, you have a vista of Jet skis, parasailing, snorkelers and divers throughout the protected waters.  The yachts coming and going from Christiansted and Green Cay Marina pass through your view.  Depending on the time of day, you will enjoy the sun and wind as you relax on the porches and patios conveniently situated from Northeast to Southwest.

There are three bedrooms and 3.5 baths including the Master’s Suite with its own private patio and hot tub, located on the main floor of the house, and two bedrooms on the second floor aptly named the Buck Island Bedroom and The Chenay Bay Bedroom. The second floor can be accessed from the entrance foyer where you will find a concrete and limestone staircase leading up to the bedrooms.  The staircase was hand built and finished and is quite unbelievable.  From the top of the stairs you arrive at a large covered porch/patio that run to the Buck Island bedroom on the north end and the Chenay Bay Bedroom on the south.  Both bedrooms have their own luxurious private bathrooms withAndiroba harwood windows that open out to the views. The private patios look out to the exquisite views of the sunsets and in the rain there is nowhere you prefer being.

The grounds are fully planted with lovely palms and various local tropical plants and trees with well manicured lawns. The outdoor patios are also well planned with a built-in barbecue, as well as a sitting area where you can dine al’ fresco while overlooking the water.  Walk through a short path to a larger patio facing northwest, you will find the lounge where you can bask in the sun while watching all the water activities.

Everything about this home is unique and special. All the products for construction were imported from many countries.  The doors and windows were of Andiroba hardwood and made in French St. Martin.  The floors were cut and milled in France.  The door hardware was manufactured in Croatia, specifically made to look like bamboo.  Cabinetry was made in New Hampshire with specific design and specifications.

Additional features include fully automatic-switch generator, split air-conditioning units in all bedrooms, kitchen & living room, there are flat screen televisions in all bedrooms, wired Bose speakers throughout, computer controlled settings for the pool, grey water irrigation, 18 KW generator, and equipped with reverse osmosis system that converts sea water to fresh water.  Lastly, truly a spacious home, the interior is 3,341 square feet while the exterior is 1,760 square feet for a total of 5,101 square feet.
