The unique and historic property located at Plots 6F and 6G Constitution Hill dates from the late 18th century. A watercolor of the property as seen from the hill to the east clearly shows the two-story building, the entrance of which faced west; the mill to the south; and the buildings whose ruins are now on the southwest corner of this 1.4 acre property. Records illustrate that among the owners of the property over the centuries are Heinrich von Schimmelman and Governor Peter von Scholten.
